1990 ez go marathon

Hey all, I bought a 1989 EZGO Marathon 36volt a month ago. Drove it around town a lot with no problems. I finally took it to my campground and was driving it around. All of sudden lost power like battery was dead for second then started accelerating again but smelled burning. Got back to site and f/r switch assembly was smoking.
