Disappointed with S40 Thermostat Proximity Sensor April 08, 2024. I just had a new Lennox HVAC system installed with the S40 Thermostat. From the initial installation, the proximity sensor feature didn't work, and installers couldn't figure it out. Decided to do some research after they left, and found that just about everyone has problems with it.
