Last mail pickup at post office

When we returned the post office (117th St.) Said they had nothing for us. Simply impossible, but what could we do. Three months later we began to receive mail from that hold period. I filed complaints with the postal inspector, but am not optimistic. Additionally called the office to complain and was informed that I couldn't make such accusations.
