From what I have read, the X5 has better sights and a slightly better (lighter) trigger. Beyond that it seems to be down to one's preference of grip and slide balance. Although there is far less information available on the AXG Pro, some people prefer its balance to that of the X5, as it has more of its weight shifted towards the back of the gun.I bought 3 pistols that came with the Romeo 1 Pro. They've all held zero and haven't had any issues. They do seem to"flimsy" compared to the Romeo X or even an RMR. You could pick up that P226 slide with Romeo X and have it tapped for RMR holes.
