I'm running Premiere Pro v14.8 . I have MTS files filmed in 1080 at 24p on my Sony FS700 camera. Anytime I try to import the .MTS file I get the "The file has an unsupported compression type."

Delete cache, uninstall and restall program, rename file and move files to different location and same message is coming up.MP4 is not a recording-safe format, and many video editors have problems with OBS native-mp4 recordings, especially Premiere. Record to MKV or FLV, then use the 'Remux Recordings' option in OBS' File menu to convert the completed recording to mp4. Premiere should take the remuxed files with no problems.
