You can't adjust sandbox settings in single player. Get the sandbox options mod. Playing in multiplayer by yourself is just plain stupid since you can't speed up time. Multiplayer by default doesn't have sleep on either.

The thing is that sleepy moodlets go away normally, so it is fine to have short nights (for a while) Normal would need around 6 hours. Wakeful around 4 hours. Restless sleeper, i really dont like it at all. In effect, the sleepy moodlets go away very slowly. If you are awaken mid night, it is really bad.
