I know this is a Shiloh Sharps Forum and not just an overall Sharps Forum, but this could maybe be an idea for future Shiloh Sharps product expansion. I have seen this Sharps pistol in an internet auction: I didn't know that Sharps used to build pistols as well. Is there more knowledge within this community about Sharps pistols? May 24, 2019 · I have a couple C Sharps rifles I use often. One is a Hepburn in 45-90 with upgraded wood a lovely rifle that's a very good shooter. The second is a High Wall in 38-55 with 1-12 twist barrel again an exceptionally accurate rifle. I have seen Shiloh's at matches and the range and they are great rifles also.To remove the butt stock: 1 - Remove both screws from the upper tang strap. 2 - Remove both lock screws. 3 - Gently remove the lock, so as to not chip the wood around the inletting. 4 - Remove the screw from the frame/receiver, inside the lock cavity, that holds the front part of the saddle bar.SASS Forums. Sharps and Shiloh make the 1874 model and Axtell makes the 1877. One other thing you may run across is the cases that have been fired in that Marlin you may have to resize the snot out of to get them to chamber in your Shiloh. Selling one of my shilohs, it is a 1874 rifle. Its got a 28 inch heavy round barrel with standard grade wood and a metal butt plate. The rifle has a semi buckhorn/ ladder rear sight and a shiloh front globe with a post insert in it., I have an 1863 Shiloh Sharps. I finally got a correct nipple wrench and took off the nipple. I found out it was brass. It's apparently the correct size, because it fits. I'm assuming it's 5/16X28. However, the exit hole seems small. Much smaller than the cap hole. I don't think this nipple is original and have had problems with misfire.
