No matter how hard I push the slide release button down while pulling the slide to the rear it would not release with empty magazine inserted. Then after about 300 rounds it tried again and it worked. I think yours just needs to break in.

In a gun as small as the P365, the slide mass is fairly low, so it wants to cycle faster than a larger gun. No issues mounting the Romeo Zero. Problem is the slide will not go into battery. Tried with snap caps loaded in 12 rd. mag and no go. Only put 1 in and still will not go into battery. I have to hit the rear of the slide to go into battery. Is this normal on a new P365? I’m told by Sig it is normal and will eventually loosen up. I did not experience this with my P320 or my 1911 Scorpion. Anyone else experience this?
