I have found a strange plant in the same spot almost every day for the last few In game nights. By almost i would say 70% of the time about 100 ft away from my base on a grass...

I can confirm that. I dug through a jungle today to get a pair. No luck with springing any strange plants up. I did however find one on the surface of my world (1.3).
