To adjust the cam chain, remove the timing plate cover, and set your engine to TDC. Then loosen the locking nut on the cam chain tensioner bolt. Then loosen the tensioner bolt. When you loosen it, it will allow the tensioner (inside your engine) to take up the slack in the cam chain. So just back the bolt out, then tighten it again.
