A program that has recruitment programs from major firms is considered a target school. There's a lot of prestigious schools that aren't targets, you still have a good chance you just don't have the leg up that direct recruiting programs provide. Thank you for letting me know!

Target schools for finance. While transferring into a target is pretty tough, it sounds like you have a pretty competitive profile. While some non-target schools have programs to try and get kids into IBD, you'd still be much much better off transferring to a target if investment banking or other high finance positions are your ultimate goal.
