You need 300% strength for Pillage to strip as much armor. The big issue is that Fire Blast requires line of sight, which isn't always ideal. I've gone between that and Pillage though. Build changes a lot if you have a Protea/Trinity for energy as then you can fairly safely dump a lot of efficiency, whereas if it's a random group 45% efficiency ...It gives a sizable dmg bonus whenever you switch weapons or even just swing your melee...
